AAA’s online driver improvement course has been approved by the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety for a three demerit-point credit on your Maine driving record.1

Driver improvement classroom course
This six-hour classroom course teaches the newest techniques of defensive driving. You’ll receive a certificate for a three demerit-point credit on your New Hampshire or Maine driving record after completing the course. A Driver Attitude component is included for those required to take a Habitual Offenders class. Courses are not available in Vermont.
Cost: $45 for AAA members; $50 for non-members.2 Pre-registration is required.
Ohio Remedial Driver Improvement Program
This eight-hour program for adults 19 and older meets the state of Ohio requirement for license reinstatement after a 12-point suspension, for a court-ordered action, or to obtain a 2-point credit. The instruction material consists of the reinforcement of traffic safety laws, defensive driving skills, and education on the consequences of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Ohio Driver Safety Improvement Program
These programs are geared toward adult drivers and are offered in group settings to businesses and other organizations. They are perfect for businesses who want to enhance the driving skills of their employees or those with fleets of vehicles. It consists of classroom instruction in increments of three, four, or eight hours. It is designed to teach and reinforce defensive driving techniques and general safety rules of driving. After completion of the eight-hour course, individuals receive a state certificate that may qualify them for an auto insurance discount.
