What to know before you go back to amusement parks

The entrance to Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. The entrance to Pixar Pier at Disneyland® Resort

Many theme parks and other attractions nationwide have reopened. We look at what prospective visitors should know about each attraction before going, including how they're handling reservations, and health screening requirements, if any.

This information is up-to-date as of August 9, 2021. Check the attraction websites below for the latest information.

General tips

  • Many attractions require visitors to wear face coverings, though some only require them in certain areas. Visit an attraction's website to see what kinds of masks are allowed—some parks don't allow bandanas or neck gaiters, for example—and where they're required. Make sure to bring enough of the proper coverings for your whole family.

  • Social distancing is enforced in most places. Look for signs and instructions on policies such as how far apart to stand in line and how many people are allowed into indoor spaces at a time.

  • Many attractions offer free hand sanitizer stations, but consider bringing your own if you plan it use it frequently.

  • Check if the attraction you're visiting has an official mobile app. Many allow you to order food remotely, wait in line, and make touchless payments while maintaining social distance.
